Click here to purchase a membershipEducation and guidance are a central part of the zoo's role. Groups from the education system and other organizations are invited to schedule a guided tour to accompany their visit to the zoo. Our guides have undergone comprehensive training, and their tours focus both on getting to know the animals in the zoo and on raising awareness about the importance of nature conservation, protecting wildlife, and environmental issues.
In addition to the experiential introductory tour of the zoo, you can come for a tour or a series of meetings on a variety of topics, which are detailed below. You can add a theoretical introduction with a presentation and/or a visit to the "Living House" classroom (which includes a petting zoo and a close-up introduction to small animals) to your tours.
Parents and Offspring
A tour (recommended in spring) examining the variety of parenting styles and offspring survival in nature, including meeting cubs and chicks around the zoo.
Habitats
A journey through different living environments around the world and learning how the zoo builds exhibits tailored to animals' needs.
Making Sense of the Animal Kingdom
An interactive introduction to the principles of classifying the animal kingdom into classes (mammals, birds, etc.), including hands-on experience and following life cycles.
Nutrition and the Food Chain
Learning about predator-prey relationships and physiological adaptations for obtaining food, using props such as skulls to illustrate differences between species.
Communication in the Animal Kingdom
Discovering the world of animals' visual, vocal, and chemical communication, including the use of senses and frequencies hidden from humans.

A discussion of human impact on the environment and exposure to the zoo's conservation and species reintroduction projects, such as the fallow deer and penguins.
Leadership and Social Structures in the Animal Kingdom
A glimpse into diverse social structures, from solitary living to complex hierarchies and cooperation, drawing parallels to human society.
Reproduction and Courtship in the Animal Kingdom
A tour dealing with reproductive strategies, courtship rituals, the "handicap principle," and gender differences between males and females in nature.
Ecology with a Focus on Israeli Nature
A deep dive into the importance of biodiversity and Israel's ecological uniqueness, examining extinction threats and human impact on local nature.
