At this center, you can learn about the conservation efforts led by the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo and the Israel Aquarium for the benefit of nature in Israel and around the world. Ecological threats are on the rise, and many animal species, both at sea and on land, are at risk of extinction. The Jerusalem Zoo leads numerous conservation projects in collaboration with the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), as a key part of our responsibility as a modern zoo.
The late Shai Doron, who served as the zoo's CEO, established and leveraged many conservation projects, recognizing the immense importance of the zoo in conservation, education, research, and advocacy.
At the center, you can watch our new film, learn about the various species through signage and videos, and view a collection of Noah's Ark models brought from the Biblical Museum of Natural History in Beit Shemesh.
