Communication in the Animal Kingdom

Communication is vital for all living creatures — we all communicate with our environment (even plants).
We'll get to know three main types of communication: visual, vocal, and chemical. Usually each animal species specializes in a different type of communication.
In the animal kingdom there are types of communication humans cannot perceive with their senses: bats use frequencies above our hearing range, while elephants use frequencies below it.
Snakes can detect infrared waves, while insects can detect ultraviolet waves. Herbivores see only in shades of brown and green, and lemurs communicate through scent glands.
During the tour we'll use all our senses to understand how color can serve as a warning sign or a means of camouflage, how scent can both repel and attract, and how sound serves as a threat or a courtship tool.
