Every animal has its own unique habitat; their body structure, lifestyle, and behavior are adapted to it.
The Arabian oryx lives in hot deserts, so its coat is white (to protect it from the heat), while the fur around its eyes is black (so it isn't blinded by the sun).
The red panda lives in the snowy Himalayan mountains, so its fur is very thick (to protect it from the cold).
At the zoo, every exhibit presents a challenge — how do you build an exhibit tailored to animals' needs? How does the zoo create a habitat resembling the animal's habitat in nature? What do the animals do on snowy days? And on heatwave days?
On the tour we'll get to know different habitats (Africa, Australia, the tropical habitat, and more), discover the special characteristics of each habitat and which animals live there. We'll learn how animals adapt to their habitat and how we at the zoo adapt the exhibits to the animals.
