Interesting To Know

the Blyth’s hornbill is also called a Golden kleo and is one of the largest animals in the Bucerotidae family. They live in the rainforests of Papua New Guinea and build their nests within holes in the tree trunks that are 18 – 30 meters high. During incubation, like other animals in their family, the male closes the female within the nest to protect his family from predators, such as snakes. He leaves her a small opening to pass food to her.
