Movement members meet at the zoo once a week for educational and social sessions led by the zoo's care and education teams. Members volunteer in various care departments and join the zoo's adult volunteer staff during summer and holiday breaks.
During movement sessions, teenagers will learn about zoo operations, enrich their knowledge of nature conservation and species preservation, gain exposure to the work of animal keepers, and go on tours and field trips.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends with shared interests!
Membership in the movement is open to students in grades 8-10.
Activity sessions take place on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, in accordance with the school holiday calendar.
An engaging introductory session will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the zoo.
During the introductory session, we will explain more about the movement and host a scavenger hunt throughout the zoo.
Participation in the introductory session costs 15 NIS.
