Dead Sea Toothcarp fish, which live only in the springs adjacent to the Dead Sea, are unique in the entire world and are in danger of extinction due to the difficult situation of the Dead Sea and due to the destruction of their natural habitat.
Research activity, the establishment of a breeding core in the "Story of a Drop" complex are part of the activity that the zoo maintains to save these fish from extinction, in the only place in the world where they are found!
The Dead Sea Toothcarps are displayed today both in the "Story of a Drop" display and in the "Israel Aquarium".
