the peccary’s diet consists mainly of vegetarian food, including tubers, roots, fruit, mushrooms, and nuts, but also some animal food, such as eggs, small animals, and carcasses.
Dangers

The peccary is not a pig! Despite its outer resemblance to the pig, peccaries belong to a separate family (Tayassuidae) and differ from pigs in the structure of their feet, in the number of toes, in their digestive system, in the presence of an olfactory gland, and in the number and type of teeth.
