This is a relativelylarge frog, which grows to a weight of about 500 grams and a size of about 16cm, from the top of its head to the ends of its body. It is nourished from liveprey, which it ambushes from its place among dead leaves or semi buried in theearth. These frogs can eat anything they find that is suited for the size oftheir mouth (reptiles, mammals, arthropods). Their status in the wild hasworsened as a result of harm to their habitat and their collection to be soldas pets.
