Animal Reintroductions

Wildlife Conservation

The main goal of the Jerusalem Zoo is to help in the conservation of endangered species and, without any doubt, the peak of our conservation work is the re-introduction of captive-born animals to their natural habitat. In recent years the Jerusalem Zoo has been taking part in several re-introduction programmes of endangered species. Some programmes are already underway and animals have already been introduced to the wild whilst others are still under planning.
