Born in 1959, in Kibbutz Nitzanim, Yoram Shpirer completed his studies in the Life Sciences Institute, School of Agriculture in Rehovot, and subsequently worked as a nutritionist of cattle, sheep, and goats throughout Israel. In the past, he carried out a project at the Tel Aviv University, supervised by Prof. Amotz Zahavi.  Yoram is also a nature photographer. He volunteers in various initiatives to conserve the Vultures in Israel and documented the initiative to save the Vulture population in Israel carried out by by the INPA including photographing them at feeding stations in the Negev and Golan Heights; removal of eggs from nests to ensure successful incubation and restoration of the Vultures to their natural habitats. He also photographed the activities of the “Center for Incubation of Israeli Raptors” at the Jerusalem Zoo. This exhibition was produced in cooperation with the Jerusalem Zoo as part of a joint effort to contribute to the preservation of this magnificent species. See more of  Yoram Shpirer's photos at www.shpirery.com. The proceeds of the exhibition will be devoted to the hospital for wild animals and to the initiative to conserve the Vultures.
