The Joy of Birds
Ruth Schueler has been a volunteer at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo since 2002. She spent five years working with the lemurs and three years in the Bird department. She now volunteers at the Australian exhibit. Ruth loves nature, especially birds and is also a volunteer at The Jerusalem Bird Observatory. Ruth retired three years ago after a long career as a Medical Technician in the Cardiology Department of Shaare Zedek Hospital. She studied scientific photography at Basel University, and now, after retirement, has more time and freedom to travel and take pictures. In this exhibition, Ruth presents photos of birds from the Jerusalem Zoo's collection, Israel and photos from her travels in Florida and the Galapagos Islands. |
