The Natural Habitat and distribution area of the Levant vole is in the open areas in temperate climate regions in the Middle East, from Turkey to Israel. It feeds mostly on weeds, herbs, seeds, bulbs, roots, bark and some insects. Vole teeth grow continuously and wear down while chewing food. Social structure consists of extended families of parents and their offspring. Overpopulation may occur in some years and vole population may reach hundreds and even thousands of individuals per acre.
